Shouldn't the translation of "The color of the field is green" be το χρώμα του χωραφιού είναι πράσινο?
Yes, that's correct. :-)
The literal translation "the field has a green color" should also be accepted.
"The field has green color" is grammatically incorrect in English. It has A green colour.
Why not "το χωράφι είναι πράσινο χρώμα"?
It would be "Το χωράφι είναι πράσινου χρώματος" (=of green color), but I believe it sounds weird in English as well. In Greek, at least, it would sound ok(?) when describing a car, a wall, clothing or something like that.
The field is green...would it not just be το χωράφι ειναι πράσινο?? Ι wrote for the translation of Το χωράφι εχει πρασινο χρωμα"...the field is green in colour" and was marked wrong...
