Thank you very much, this is a very useful and valuable list.

Παρακαλώ. You're welcome. I highly recommend the above links to my non-Greek friends who wanna learn some Greek, especially if they are interested in how the structure or the vocabulary of my native language, seems like.

I find listening to the radio really helps. London Greek Radio (LGR) is really good. They mix between speaking English and Greek (often one right after the other). Plus some great Greek tunes! http://www.lgr.co.uk/

Keyboard-wise, I absolutely recommend Google Input Tools:

https://www.google.com/inputtools/

It gives you the full ability to type in Greek, Chrome users can install it as a browser extension, you can see a visual representation of the Greek keyboard layout on your screen if you feel that you need it, and it is very easy to turn it on and off as needed.

I found this book very useful:

Title: Modern Greek Grammar Notes for Absolute Beginners, Subtitle: A User-friendly Grammar for Levels A1/A2, Authors: Poulopoulou, Maria.

It can be freely downloaded from here: https://repository.kallipos.gr/handle/11419/4393?locale=en

There is a PDF version and an e-book version of it. Especially the e-book version is very nice, in that version you can click on the Greek text and it will be pronounced by two people (a female and a male voice).

This web page is great to learn vocabulary. There are vocabulary lists grouped by subjects and you can practise them with different games. Also, there is a Grammar section and a Society & Culture section where there are different types of videos to practice listening skills.

Many thanks, we're glad to add it to our list. It's very well done, with lots of useful vocabulary and the TTS is really helpful.

Thank you we can never have enough good resources. Yes, I like what I have seen so far.

And a 2 hour Greek documentary with English subtitles, more advanced I think due to vocabulary used.

I've discovered that wikibooks has an awful lot of Greek lessons (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Modern_Greek) and in a useful format that allows using them alongside Duolingo.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Odontoceto

Wiktionary!

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:Greek_lemmas

Wiktionary is awesome, but just keep in mind that it may have errors, just like any wiki site. For instance, there said that the word for bow (like in a hair bow), φιόγκος, was neuter, when it is really masculine. I changed that myself.

Also Wordreference is fine:

http://www.wordreference.com/engr/

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/cparticle

Found this http://www.logosconjugator.org/list-of-verb/EL/1/ site for conjugations. I don't know how it compares to http://cooljugator.com/gr/ but I like how it lists all the tenses with each voice. This is how I learned it and I think it would be harder to learn without learning all of the voices together.

Cortina recently decided to release their courses into the public domain and the How To Learn Any Language forum decided to host all of them.

I greatly appreciate reading printed comics in modern Greek, in particular Asterix since I know the translation to French from my youth. You can find quite a large choice of comics heroes at http://www.mamouthcomix.gr/ . They are distributed in particular by https://www.facebook.com/pg/comicstrip.gr/about/?ref=page_internal . I bought 12 books, got them by post, and was extremely happy with this bookshop located in Athens - I recommend it.

ASK GREEK ( https://learn-greek-online.com/ask-greek/ ). Maybe this is one of a kind. Anybody can ask a question, related to the Greek language. A Greek teacher personally answers.

They look great, thanks. And I didn't realize that you'd already posted xanthi.ilsp.gr, although you seem to kind of undersell it with only stating that it's a site that would help people with the alphabet.

It is great and I didn't mean to undersell it but the post was very long already and the learner had requested help with the alphabet.

Dictionaries - Hands-down, https://el.glosbe.com/el/en/ has saved the day, getting us through our first "real" book in Greek, Κατερίνα Τσεμπερλίδου's Το ταλέντο να ζεις ευτυχισμένα. Glosbe gives a zillion examples of word usage (and also reverses to English/Greek, as needed).
