Give me a break: "banana candy"?

can't I say sweet banana?

no because it has "de" between. the answer would be literally "sweet of banana", thats why "banana candy" is correct

I don't think this translation is very useful

My Brasileira wife agrees, but she says, Brazilians do eat a lot of banana candy.

It's not fair play-- we are trying to learn! It's like throwing in "cotton candy" or "Mars Bar" or "snickers" We cannot just "guess that this is a popular candy type!
