The program offers 'tym' but the correct answere was 'ta'. Why?

I put cię, but it said it was wrong, it will only accept was as the answer

I see "cię" at the top of this page right now. Both are equally correct without more context.

Why is ja zostawiam ciebe za tą muślą wrong?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Jellei

I guess 'ciebie' can work, so added it. But even then there are probably too many typos in your sentence for it to get accepted.

zostawiam ciebie z tą myślą - why is it incorect?

About a year ago we changed our policy regarding emphatic object pronouns. Accented forms like "ciebie" are usually only accepted, where the context indicates emphasis. And that's a bit unlikely in this sentence.

I wrote "Zostawiam cię z tą myśla." Duolingo said "Be careful about the accents: 'Zostawiam cię z tą myśla.' "

I am confused; what is it warning me about, since the two statements are identical?

That really shouldn't have happened. The only correct form here is myślą (instrumental case).

"...dbaj o siebie i oraz siebie." --- Jerry Springer

"i oraz" is "and and"...

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/chce_polski

Sorry. I thought it was "and also".

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Jellei

I guess that would be "a także o siebie". Or possibly "i o siebie też".

"a także" is probably a set phrase that takes "a" rather than "i".

Why can't I write "cie" instead of "was"

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Jellei

"cię" (with a 'tail') is correct, so is "was". The first one is singular 'you', the latter is plural.

Why does it suggest 'tym' but not accept it? The hints are all out of order with each other. Really getting fed up with losing hearts over poorly made questions.

I've taken a look at your comment history and it suggests that you rely heavily on copying hints instead of acquiring a grasp of Polish grammar.

'Myśl' is feminine, so the appropriate demonstrative pronoun is 'tą'.

'Z tą' will be in the top hint now.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Bozenok
