I presume a palinka is another food I do not know about. Can anyone help
Pálinka is strong brandy, made from fruit: apricot, plum, and cherry are common. Drinking a shot of it before or after a meal is a pretty typical thing.
Actually I am pretty sure it is here in kecskemet but I have not tried it yet.
Also try pear! If you buy it in a store, make sure "pálinka" is written on the bottle.
I love the fekete cseresznye
In some cases schnapps is accepted. In others no translation for pálinka.
If anyone in the Continental US can find any palinka, please let me know, the family stockpile is dwindling
