A bit of fun for french learners
I was in France earlier this year and was quite amused by the number system.
Then I found this link today which puts it all into perspective.
Well, I think that considering such numbers as math formulas is a wrong tactic. Instead of thinking that seventy in French is sixty plus ten, just think that seventy is "swasondiz", not a formula but just a word for seventy, just like chien is a word for a dog :) Same with eighty - it's no four times twenty, it's just "quatrvan" :P
