Translation:who is beautiful
Az a szép, az a szép, akinek a szeme kék, akinek a szeme fekete! :)
I love that song!
Isn't 'ki' the word for 'who'?
ki? is the word for a direct question (e.g. "Who is beautiful?"), aki a relative pronoun for an indirect question (e.g. "the woman who is beautiful").
Thanks Philip! Köszönöm. Great explanation
What the hell is this supposed to be? A question? A subordinate clause (‘Péter, aki szép, ...’)?
A subordinate clause.
Az a lány dolgozik, aki szép "The girl who is pretty is working."
Aki = who. Never "which?"
Always refers to a person
So far "pretty" has been accepted for "szép". Why is this no longer the case?
My hungarian girlfriend says szép is more for nice pictures or a good looking tree or something. Not a person. Csinos is pretty person.
