Having trouble with the classroom's feature?

Hi folks!

I've noticed we've been getting a ton of questions from educators about the Classrooms posted to Troubleshooting. We are fortunate to have friendly community members stepping in to answer what they can of these questions. Please note however, that there is a specific forum for Educators, called the Educator forum. A Duolingo staff member routinely goes there specifically to answer people's questions about Duolingo Classrooms. This isn't to say that you can't post to the Troubleshooting forum, just that you'll be relying on community volunteers instead of staff.

To gain access to the Educator forum, you will need to be at least Level 2 in one of Duolingo's courses.

For anyone who may not know, you level up to Level 2 when you reach 60 xp, which is equivalent to six lessons or lesson reviews.

Not only does reaching Level 2 give you access to the Educator Forum (and other Duolingo forums), but it gives you some experience with the teaching tool that you are asking your students to use.

This is a great comment! Thank you for clarifying how many XP = level 2. The other points you made are great too. :)

Thanks. I've said similar things several times today. Like you, I've noticed a big influx of teachers who aren't sure yet how this all works.

It's rather odd that they are encouraging their students to use it without taking the time to use it for a while and see for themselves how it works.

And if you are wondering just how long you need to do six lessons to reach level 2, I can do six in twenty minutes and I'm not a language teacher it should take less than fifteen minutes for a teacher

Can this be a sticky?

At least until we're past the beginning of the school year. (If possible - I'm not sure that Usagi can post this as a sticky; staff approval may be necessary.)

Scratch my plan to sticky this. I forgot that the TS forum was one of the originals, so my sticky powers don't work here. :P I would ask staff for a sticky, but, they appear to be super busy right now. So, for now, I'll depend on up votes.
