when you are using newspaper as your reference it is much more common to use writer rather than author. Since συντάκτης can mean either writer or author, then writer should be accepted as a correct answer. Even the preferred answer.
Thank you for your valid observation. I've added "writer" and left "author" as an alternative.
you're welcome. i am very happy the greek program is finally here. now i have to figure out how to find an easy way to get greek letters on my keyboard. I am using a MAC
I put the writer and the newspaper (under translate) and was marked wrong and told it was 'editor'
I'm more confused than you are. You will see in a post from 11 months ago that I added "writer" to the accepted translations. Now I don't see it. Either I forgot to add it or I inadvertently removed it (edit history shows I was the last to edit this sentence).
I am adding "writer" now. My apologies.
