Cependant, translates according to the dictionary, as 'in the meantime' . Can you use ,Pourtant, instead.

Cependant translated as in the meantime reflects the etymology, but not the usage. As for pourtant, it would fit nicely here indeed.

Why is "Or, c'est possible" not allowed? From what I gather "or" can be used in the sense of "however", or is that false?
