Reading material in Greek for the beginners

Hi, I have gathered some basic knowledge in Greek language and now I would like to try to start reading. If you have any suggestions on what would be the easiest for start, I would appreciate it if u would let me know. Thank you in advance... :)

I recently found this website http://www.ilearngreek.com/mythology/greek_mythology.asp it teaches greek mythology and has the english translation next to the greek.

There are simple small texts in the following site: http://www.greek-language.gr/certification/dbs/teachers/index.html There are used for the exams for Greek language Certification. Choose A1 level and "Κατανόηση γραπτού λόγου". If it is too difficult, just skip it for later on, you are not ready enough for A1. There are texts for all levels to the level Γ2, that is the highest. I recommend to try it as a start.

My first steps in reading was with the phrase book of the android application "50 languages". I started with reading simple short phrases from there by myself and then checked how it sounds in the app.

If you can find it try children's books on Greek mythology. The stories are slightly more interesting than your usual children's book but the language is usually pretty simple.
