What about "Emigrant" ?

"Người di trú” refers to “migrant” in the general sense. Some people use “người xuất cư” for “emigrant” and “người nhập cư” for “immigrant.” They are derived from “người di cư,” another word for “migrant.” However, I don’t think “người xuất cư” and “người nhập cư” are as common as “người di trú” and “người di cư.”
