"No, I do not go see a boring movie!"
Translation:Nem, unalmas filmre nem ülök be!
Is this a common structure to express watching a movie? Also, would you only use it in certain scenarios?
Yes, "beülni" somewhere or for something is a common phrase.
beülök egy moziba - I go to the movies
beülök egy filmre - I go to see a movie
beülök egy étterembe - I go to a restaurant
beülök a fodrászhoz - I go to the hairdresser
Basically, sitting is a characteristic part of the experience in all of these cases.
Well, you could do something like this:
"Nem, nem megyek unalmas filmet nézni."
"Nem, nem nézek (meg) unalmas filmet."
I wrote something like "Nem megyek nézni unalmas filmet". I guess I messed the word order up. Anyway, I just wanted to know whether beülni is the only option here. Thanks! :)
I tried the exact same sentence, too. Unfortunately, it still isn't accepted.
Isn't there something similar in British English that goes, "he sits the test?"
