It's been a long journey, but we finally found a champion worthy of developing our Android app. Shooting to release in May 2013.
Me three! This would be great as I'm on my phone between classes a lot. University can leave me time to do some kwl stuff. XD
please keep adding the website's features to the app. there are a lot missing, the more important imo being the conjugation, hints and peeks during exercises,
nice...thats something that many people have been waiting for! We can take advantage of our free time when waiting for people, subway, appointments, and use that time for improving thelanguage :) thanks for all your efforts!
Stoked! This means Duolingo will be there, waiting for me, when I switch from iOS once my contract is up. How nice it will be.
iOS is kicking Android's ass in the US though.
And I wish I knew why.
<3 Android. Can't wait for this :-)
Not at all. This is just really bad marketing ploys to convince you otherwise. Below is a link to the tablet shares. Interesting to note that the projections for the next couple of years is that Android will grossly overtake Apple. http://www.droid-life.com/2012/10/02/pew-research-android-up-to-48-of-u-s-tablet-sales-ipad-drops-to-low-of-52/
I was looking for an Android App I was quite disappointed that none is available ATM. Good news that you are working for the most popular platform finally!
Awesome! If you need beta testers... I just switched back to Android (Nexus 4!).
They literally just found who they wanted to start working on it. Probably won't be until the end of February until we see a working beta of the app. :-)
Awesome! I discovered this site today. First thing I did was search for it in the Android Marketplace. Thanks for the good news!
Eventually, eventually, eventually. If you know a developer cheap enough for Duolingo, feel free to suggest one!
That's great! I want to be part of the beta tests! My Galaxy SII waits for it!
Coming up next, Windows Phone Version?
Windows Store? Has it been started or thought about? When would it be released if so?
i will be looking forward to this. If you need any beta testing, I will gladly help out. I do not have a computer, so everything i do online is done from my galaxy s3.i can not wait for this! duolingo is very hard (sometimes impossible because of flash) to use in a browser with jellybean's lack of flash support. iI am so excited for this app!
can't wait to start using that - can utilize all my waiting time and thus also devote much more time to learning the language.
If it is "shooting to release in May 2013", is a beta version going to come out soon? Or is it the beta which is targeted for May?
