Case confusion: For "Gegen den Wünschen seiner Frau." why "den" and not "die" I thought it was accusative case and "Wünschen" is plural, so I should use "die". (If it is dative case then the same question applies to the singular answer "Gegen den Wunsch seiner Frauen")

Which case is it and is there and error here?

it is accusative. Singular: "Gegen den Wunsch seiner Frauen", plural: "Gegen die Wünsche seiner Frauen'. Note that there is a simular construction with 'entgegen' which takes the dative case: 'entgegen dem Wunsch seiner Frauen' vs. 'entgegen den Wünschen seiner Frauen'.

so "Gegen den Wünschen seiner Frau." is wrong?

sorry for the typo. It's either 'entgegen den Wünschen seiner Frau' or 'gegen die Wünsche seiner Frau'.
