Well, it has never been wrong in any stage of the documented history of the Hebrew language. The form in ־נָה was used inconsistently in Biblical Hebrew (and was prevalent, if the subject followed the verb: יֵצְאוּ בְּנוֹת־שִׁילוֹ Jdg 21.21 *the daughters of Shiloh will come out) and disappeared completly in Middle Hebrew. Supposedly that there is no third feminine plural form in the perfect had contributed to an early decline of the third feminine plural form in the future.
