Translation:If you want to have the visa, you need to go to the embassy of that country.

Or is it a more correct English translation to say "If you want to have (or get) a visa (for that country), you need to go to the embassy of that country.

"A visa" should be accepted. That is normal English.

Duo is also confused on this point. It very frequently requires "the" when no English speaker would use it.

In quite a few sentences, "đến" means both "come" and "go" and both are accepted. Except this one. One of the aspects of this course that is as clear as a black bear at midnight.
