I put 'rwy'n' instead of 'dw i'n', could someone please explain to me why that's wrong? Thanks!

It is not wrong, it just that we don't usually include the rwy form in the course answers, as explained in the first discussion point here. We may start to add it in the future, perhaps.

I'd have though rydw is more or just as correct as Dw?

Over the last few months we have been adding a few other common variants of dw i to phrases in the course. I have now done that here as well. The set that we accept is:

  • Dw i; Rydw i; Dwi; Rwy

Rydw i is not 'more correct', just slightly more formal. However, it is the form taught in many schools, although it is not very widely used in colloquial Welsh.
