I agree. And the Hungarian sentence doesn't sound right either.

This singer is singing out of tune. - Ez az énekesnő hamisan énekel.

Actually, you can say "az énekesnő hamis" in Hungarian, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it (except for the fact that she is out of tune).
You would say it like this mostly when actually listening to her and commenting on her singing.
