Yes, that's not the most meaningful part of the course, but sometimes you can get useful info by checking out the comments, like the one above^ (syn=plus, desmos=bond).

Does this word apply for uses of "conjunction" outside of grammatical pedantry? For example, the conjunction of two areas or the conjunction of two sets of ideas (e.g., in a Venn diagram)?
In those cases it's probably συνδυασμός https://www.wordreference.com/engr/conjunction. The word σύνδεσμος is also used as 'link'.
