Greek Grammar/Language Textbooks.

Does anyone know any good textbooks for learning Modern Greek, the basics and grammar that you can purchase? There are many for other languages but it seems Greek doesn't have many...

I've got this. It's a grammar reference book rather than a standard textbook (step by step introduction).

That looks pretty decent. Does it use the modern Greek Grammar accent system? Like meaning most words containing only one accent mark? I had gotten a book that was for Modern Greek, but it was published in the 80's and used a pretty outdated way of writing and accent system...

The first edition was published in 2004 and the second 2015. You can check what it looks like by googling "greek essential grammar pdf". One of the top results should be the entire book in pdf.

There's also http://www.amazon.com/Greek-Comprehensive-Language-Routledge-Grammars/dp/041559202X by the same authors, which apparently goes into even more detail (you can find it in pdf too).

Thanks so much, they look awesome. I'm going to use them for my notes before I complete Greek as part of my studies.

I have a the Teach Yourself Greek book. To be effective, I recommend buying the audio CDs with the book. My mom didn't do that for me and got it on sale somewhere, so I only have the book. But it has good material. A bit of a long read without the audio, though, because it's meant to be read along side listening to the CDs. I use it every now and then despite not having the full set, because it goes from beginner to more advanced stuff.
