They are interchangeable, but μία is more emphatic like "one".

surprisingly, it's apparently true that wolves have been know to hunt foxes - I don't know if they eat them or just want to get rid of the competition......

Is there a connection between αλεπού and the city Aleppo?

In Greek Aleppo is Χαλέπι, so I don't think so. :)

Don't think so. Is related to the genus name Alopex, and maybe also to the Latin vulpes and thus the pokemon Vulpix. It might even be related to the word λύκος, although no-one has been able to prove that.

the wolf eats the fox is wrong??

Indeed it is.

μία αλεπού is a fox, not the fox.
