I have a question, when I mean - Você é louco. I say -You is crazy? Or You are crazy? And why?

In English, "you" is used for both one person (singular) or more than one (plural) but the verb that is required is always "are". It is originally the plural form, but English no longer uses "thou" (archaic singular form, found in old literature and prayer, which used to take the verb "art".
