When will arabic be available in duolingo?
Im starting to learn arabic outside of duolingo and would love to start learning here as well.
I also hope it will be available. That would make me use this website more frequently. The concept is great but I hope that Arabic will be the next language. ;)
I also hope that Arabic will be available. That would make me use Duolingo much more. :)
I just asked this question on their feedback section and hope to hear back. I was using Rosetta Stone Arabic 1,2 & 3 however I thought their learning style is worthless.
In the spirit of duolingo-- maybe we can launch a facebook campaign to show interest in Arabic, and urge Duolingo to prioritize developing Arabic?
I'm adding my voice. There is hardly any alternative out there on internet for learning arabic interactively. Unlike for other languages, saddly.
Preferably Levantine Arabic (oral language of the Eastern Mediterranean countries) and for the advanced Modern Standard Arabic (used in literature, newspapers, official documents, etc). Would be excellent!!
Two years on there is still no Arabic course even "hatching" to be notified of.
Honestly, I can't believe they offer KLINGON but they don't offer the fifth most popular language in the world.
I think doulingo would get many more people and good ratings if Arabic was an option. Doulingo is in my opinion better then most paid language programs, but I think it would be a more often used program if Arabic was a available. I aslo believe Hebrew should be an option as well.
Another voice for Arabic please! Its very, very hard to find good, interactive Arabic resources online.
I'm also chiming in to this. Arabic would be excellent, and is actually in very high demand right now.
I agree with Seamus747. The text should be with proper tashkeel. Tashkeel is the vowel signs above and below the consonant script. It is a good tool for learning correct pronunciation.
Arabic would be amazing. I would love to see modern standard, eastern, or Egyptian Arabic. Any of the above would be an amazing start!
I would really like for there to be arabic in Duolingo. Then I would use it much more.
Note for people who love to learn standard Arabic since Duolingo doesn't seem to start an Arabic course very soon, go to following URL which belongs to Aljazeera. they have started a new section in their site dedicated to teaching Arabic to english/french speakers : http://learning.aljazeera.net/arabic
I'm adding my voice too! It is so difficult to find arabic language resources on the web. Specially intermediate level. Hopefully will be available soon!
Please develop Arabic for Duolingo. With proper Arabic script, not Latin alphabet phonetics.
I agree. Contrary to what many people think the script is not hard to learn. Arabic alphabet works according to straight rules, and can be learned very quickly.
Yes, please offer Arabic. Love you Duolingo. Best online language learning system in the world.
It would be awesome to add Arabic, but looking at the number of comments asking for it (not many!), it might not happen soon....please please....Arabic or Farsi. Thank You!
I would love to see Arabic added to the site! I've been looking for a way to improve my skills. It would be a shame to see just fusha, though... Levantine Arabic and Moroccon Darija would be most useful to me personally, although I doubt there would be much of a demand for Moroccan Arabic.
Another vote for Arabic!
The language is so widely spoken (geographically as well as number of people) it would be extremely useful. I think classical (fous-ha) would be most appropriate as its understood by most dialects and leaves room for specialisation. I couldn't find it in the incubator also?
Duolingo why can't you see we will all greatly benefit from learning Arabic?? ADD IT
Interested in learning arabic the duolingo way. There is a problem with literary language as opposed to spoken language and the arabic script
I would also love to see Arabic offered. Duolingo is a great method of learning a new language at whatever rate suits the individual! :)
I'm longing for an arabic course on Duolingo ? Could I get a notification when it will come out ?
Hope admin read our request. This website is easy to understand & hope I can learn arabic here
