It's an interesting list. I'm curious to their methods though.

Looking at the duplicates in the list (bhí is listed about 4 times) it's almost as if they took a set of words in one language, decided that those were the 1000 most frequently used words, and then put a direct translation on that list and published it.

I see the same thing happening in the Dutch language list.

I'm also curious as to which resources they used to make that list. Were they scanning Wikipedia articles? Did they use a digital form of the bible? Did they make use of sites such as nós.ie? Did they scan through the Irish pages of rté.ie? All of that could affect the outcome.

So again, it's an interesting list, but I'm doubting its reliability.
