What is being taught here is "Yes, please. - "παρακαλώ" means "please". "Ναι, ευχαριστώ". is "Yes, thank you"

No, we move our heads down for yes (maybe with a twist, as if trying to reach your shoulder with your chin and possibly closing the eyes) and we move our head and brows upwards for no (possibly also making a laconic ts sound).
