Why not only olvas? What does the ending sa mean?
It's definite conjugation It would be only 'olvas', if it said 'egy nagy könyvet' instead of 'a nagy könyvet'.

I wrote "olvas". What is the difference between olvas and olvassa?
Olvassa is the definite conjugation and is used because you are referring to "the" book, not "a" book.
