"English for Russian speakers" on iOS

My wife has recently started using Duolingo. She takes "English for Russian speakers" course. Works fine on the web site. But when she tries to do the course with an iOS mobile app, she gets an error message. Something along the lines of "the course is not available for the mobile version yet". This seems to contradict the claim on the course's Incubator page. It tells me that the course is readily available on mobile.

So what's wrong with that course? Please help.

Does your wife have the latest version of the iOS app? It should be 3.2.

Not sure what the version number is. But she did a fresh install, just yesterday.

On the other note, the iOS version is 6 and the iOS UI language is English. Just thought it might matter. But I hope it does not.

Can she go to the language chooser and not see the Russian course? It should be there.

I'll try to do all the tinkering myself in a few hours. Reinstall, language chooser, etc. If nothing helps, at least I could post the exact text of the error message.

By the way, make sure she's not in a course that is not Russian (such as Polish). Some of the courses are not yet on the app, but Russian is.

OK, the plot thickens. Somehow a fresh install wasn't v3.2. Now after I updated the app to 3.2, the course works... but the UI is in English! Looks like that:

Translate "бутерброд"

Next I experimented with changing the iOS UI language to Russian. Magic! It worked. Problem is: my wife wants he iOS UI in English. And Duolingo in Russian.

I know some other iOS apps have user-selectable UI language, independent of system-wide settings. But Duolingo seems to be missing this option. Are there any plans to add it?

Yes, we may add this.

Just wait! I think it might be failing yet because it's still in beta. However, just in case, try reinstalling Duolingo! If that doesn't work, then you should ask one of the contributors of the "English for Russian speakers". I hope this helps!

EDIT: "not working perfectly" to "failing".

Well, there is a huge difference between "not working perfectly" and "failing completely". But yes, contacting one of the people in charge directly is a good idea. Thanks.

Haha, sorry, I tend to do that, but I hope it works out for you!
