Bernie, that just doesn't sound as natural as "neither __ nor". You'd also rather say "not right or wrong".

I understood it as looe if you were to say "i wasnt wrong but i wasnt right" or "no i was not right i wasnt wrong" or something to that effect but the literal translation is weird in English

It's a lot more natural to use either:

I am NEITHER right NOR wrong,

or

I am NOT right OR wrong

"NOT" + "NOR" just doesn't sound as natural.
