Σε εμένα μου αρέσει το κρασί, ειδικά το κόκκινο. Is that accepted?

Why isn't it accepted?

That is one of the accepted translations. As to why it wasn't accepted we can't say. You should have made a report.

Do you really need "to" before κρασί? Does it still translate the same?

It's necessary. It's a grammatical mistake if you omitt it.

When did red wine become κόκκινο rather than μαύρο ?

I still hear red referred to as μαύρο l don't know if its right though

Thanks for this info about red sometimes referred to as μαύρο. I guess that the main wine types are κόκκινο/λευκό/ροζέ while μαύρο may be a short name for Greek grapes such as Mavro Kalavritino and Xinomavro? The latter is a red wine of Naoussa and Amyndeo that people compare to nebbiolo. It's also used in a lot of blends. There's a website that describes mavro as a grape from Cyprus that pairs well with Galatopoureko: https://worldsbestwines.eu/grapes/mavro/ Maybe when you've heard μαύρο it was short for the Greek grape type or maybe it's a synonym for κόκκινο? If anyone knows, please let us know.
