"Deze omroep is in Nederland bekend."
Translation:This broadcaster is known in the Netherlands.
broadcaster betekent toch omroeper ? en broadcast is toch de omroep of zender ?
There's also uitzending which might be a closer translation to broadcast.
Surely this translates to "has been known" suggesting the broadcaster has retired or been in a temporary role. If the broadcaster is still known would it not read "wordt in Nederland bekend"? I have simply referred back to your own notes on the passive voice to come to this conclusion.
