Some sentence discussion pages seem to not exist?
"Der Junge macht einen Kreis." - https://www.duolingo.com/comment/4415577
and another I cannot find. Does anybody know why? I use Edge 38.14393.0.0 and Chrome 53.0.2785.143
Short answer: I am guessing that the owner deleted the discussion. I do not think you can reach it again... sorry.
Who owns sentence discussions on Duolingo? I don't know what you mean.
I followed a sentence discussion, and there was a person that I guess owns the sectence, like created it. It says made "2 months ago" or so.
Look at this funny sectence I followed in Spanish.:
It says it has a owner, and I clicked on the person, and it's normal person-not a moderator or anything.
I just looked at one at random, to see what was going on: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/18234355
That Spanish sentence you linked is the same; it seems to have a time, but not an owner / creator.
It says when it was created, but it doesn't say that it has an owner. Maybe the German sentence you asked about was deleted by the mods / admins.
When you scroll down on your followed discussion, look at the sentences you have followed..
It will say something like.....
"Es una fuente de dinero." 3 years ago by Bill-Roca in Spanish
It's not revealed when you are at the page, I think
But, it does not explain why a nice sentence like that is deleted..... :\
The date is from the first comment on the thread. As far as I can figure out, it shows the discussion as deleted if all comments are deleted from it (you notice several of these if you look at the Sentences tab), but it can be resurrected by someone doing the lessons. That's my observations, anyway, though it's entirely possible that I'm wrong. :)
@TheGirlOverThere - I don't think the sentence has been deleted from the course, just its discussion page.
I could be wrong though - maybe the German team have removed it as part of a process of improving the course, and replaced it with something else.
...but when you next see that sentence in a lesson, you'll be able to click on the discussion button and start a new discussion for that sentence.
Hmmm..... Okay, I see. You're right. This happens to me, but I always thought it was my laptop blocking it ( You know, blocks certain websites.) I am using chrome also.....
