"A mozi új filmje nagyon rossz."

Translation:The cinema's new movie is very bad.

There's a persistent error in this course in not accepting "movie theater" for mozi. Personally, I don't know anybody that calls it a "cinema". Curiously, though, film can be translated as "movie", so... what gives?

I consistently call it "cinema" because a "theater" for me is a place where people are acting live. It's chiefly British, I think.
Curiously, though, "film" is often not accepted as English translation either, so what gives? ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

But "movie theater" should be accepted.

Brits would definitely more commonly say that movie theatre

well I do, though it's true that you don't know me; but clearly "movie theater" should be accepted; however, inconsistency is the hall mark of this course

I said "The theater's new movie is bad" and that wasn't accepted, either.

You forgot to translate nagyon, too.

Is this really something that is said in Hungarian?
It sounds like the cinema has taken over the role of Disney/Fox/Sony (insert your favorite film company) and a film they have produced is bad. Which is most probably not meant here, although the entire possessives lesson would imply that.
