Hi all! I am a K-6 Spanish teacher. I use Duolingo with my 4th-6th graders (9-12 years old). When they leave my class they go to a secondary school where they get to choose languages. As such, I assign activities in Spanish for my class, but I want to encourage them to work in other languages as well. Is there a way that I can have the class set to Spanish so that I can give assignments, but also allow them to study, and me to track their progress in other languages? Some know that they want to switch to French in 7th grade, and I want to give them a head start. Others want to study Catalan or Dutch with me. Others have chosen other languages for other reasons, and I'd like to be able to see what they do in those languages just for fun.

Your students can add whichever courses they want, regardless of whether or not their accounts are members of a classroom.

To track them, create another classroom, set to no specific language, and have them join that as well.

Is it now possible to have students as members of multiple classrooms on Duolingo? When I tried this before, as soon as they joined the second classroom they left the first one
