What's the difference between όταν, οπότε and ποτέ?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/G.Georgopoulos

Όταν=when

Όποτε=whenever

Οπότε=so (It was sunny, so I went out)

Πότε;=when?

Ποτέ=never/ever

Correct answers with όταν or όποτε, but the only definition shown for when is πότε. (Beta things, I guess...)

We now have όταν, όποτε, and οποτεδήποτε (πότε has been deleted :)) now in the drop down hints and as accepted translations. Many thanks for the heads up.

Probably not for all versions of duolingo. In the Safari version, the only hint is πότε.

Τον βλέπω όταν παίζει
Is that a good construction for "I watch him while he plays"? Like when a parent takes a kid to the park.

It is better to use όσο or ενόσω when translating "while".
So, τον βλέπω όσο παίζει is better.

Hopefully, the next Greek language tree will include more conjunctions in the Tips and Notes or a link for an exhaustive list of them. I’d bet the current list is lacking a good number. Thanks for the help, once again!

Does this imply that he is playing with his food?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/jaye16

No, it doesn't sound that way to me. It could be with his food or just play in general.

Παίξει η παίζει, what is the difference?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/G.Georgopoulos

"παίξει" is not a standalone verb, you'll see that in other discussions as you progress through the course.
