The inessive singular: tässä.

• Tässä talossa on paljon tuoleja. There are a lot of chairs in this house.
• Tässä kaupungissa on vähän autoja. There are few cars in this city.

The elative singular: tästä.

• Lähden tästä talosta. I am leaving this house.
• Pidätkö tästä kirjasta? Do you like this book?

The illative singular: tähän.

• Menemme tähän taloon. We are going into this house.
• Juna saapuu tähän kaupunkiin. The train arrives at this city.

The adessive singular: tällä.

• Tällä miehellä on kaksi koiraa. This man has two dogs.
• Tällä rautatieasemalla on paljon junia. There are a lot of trains at this railway station.

The ablative singular: tältä.

• Näytät tältä naiselta. You look like this woman.
• Juna lähtee tältä rautatieasemalta. The train departs from this railway station.

The allative singular: tälle.

• Luetko tälle lapselle? Will you read to this child?
• Kävelemme tälle pysäkille. We walk to this (bus/tram) stop.
