Idioms: is it too confusing?

I know a lot of idioms in English but the skill idioms is very confusing. On top of that, I do not understand what the idiom means. Help me please!

The idioms unit is introduced far too early in my opinion (it's too difficult for that part of the tree), and doesn't contain many useful idioms. On top of that, many of the idioms depend on the region. My advice is to stay away from it for a while, and maybe do it later for fun, but be careful for the reasons previously stated.

My main problem with the Portuguese idioms is that they are really badly translated, which makes it really difficult to remember the English equivalents. It's all discussed and explained in the "Discussion" section, and I'm sure plenty of reports have been submitted, but we still have to try and remember sentences such as "You to be an angel is only missing the wings". <shudder>
