Schedule future assignments! YEAH!

Just a thanks for this feature in the class assignments tab. Now I can schedule my assignments in advance as I write my lesson plans and not have to worry about something eating my time in the morning, preventing me from making them.
I'll admit it was a minor issue, but I'm stills stoked about this feature.
Thanks!

I'm noticing something, though. When I schedule an assignment for the future, sometimes, not always, they don't open. I've had to delete about half of my assignments when the open time has passed and they haven't opened so I can re-issue them without the scheduling. So, I've got a workaround, but it's not working the way it looks like it should.
Just FYI.

If you scheduled them you should see them before they deploy to your students. That's weird. Can you screen shot a bit to show us what you do?
I'm new to duolingo and I'm not sure where to post this, so I apologize if it's incorrect. I just want to post some optional assignments for my kids while we are out of school for Corona that would stay open till the end of the semester. What would be the best way to do this? How can I just let them work at their own pace and earn some extra credit or something depending on how many they do. How would I put these in assignments? Thanks!
I'm new, too, but here's a thought. What if you set the due date for the last day of the semester and just make the assignment to collect XP (experience points) and progress through the lessons. If you set the XP really high, they could just continue to work toward that goal. Would that work? It wouldn't matter if they didn't reach the set goal, because you are the one assigning a grade and could decide whatever you think is fair based on what they've completed.
From a few things I've read, you might want to make some sort of limit for the number of XP they can collect at each level. Otherwise, they can just do Basic 1 over and over again and keep "earning" points.
