As an English speaker, "have to" is almost identical to "must"—the obligation is not weaker at all. When people say "have to," they almost always mean "must." There is almost no distinction, except that "have to" is much more common in everyday speech. "Must" sounds more formal and usually sounds stilted or awkward in speech. But it means the same thing. Thanks!

Yes, I think duolingo have this wrong. Again, probably they won't fix it. Should is never the same as must in English, as in the almost-idiom "should've could've would've" shows. Not a linguist, but PhD and native (uk) English-language speaker.
