Type what you hear

Dear Duolingo, the excercise section where you have to type what you hear, is not always working. And this is can be really annoing because you are sort of forced to lose a heart. Is there any way that we can prevent this, or is this a bug on the website?

What do you mean isn't working? What's not working? The sound?

More than likely, or it just isn't registering after they type an answer and they have to press skip to move on. I've had both happen, although, not often enough for it to warrant a thread. @jaydijk, to have a better chance of getting this issue resolved, edit your post and move it to troubleshooting.

Yes the sound. There is no sound comming out so I have to skip or guess.. Which is kinda impossible

Turn off the speaker settings if it's not working so you can still work on lessons.

I have the same problem. Sent in reports, not gotten any good answer :/ (restarting the computer didn't help..)
