Are the mistakes we highlight ever corrected?
Just wondered as I am new to Duolingo, but are the mistakes we find and highlight ever monitored and corrected?
By the way, I'm finding Duolingo very entertaining, and unlike other language learning programmes, there is the benefit of hearing the target language spoken and being tested on my comprehension.
Are you asking about mistakes in the lessons? If so, yes, mistakes that are reported do get corrected.
I'm glad you're having fun, and welcome!
In general, yes -- once I had a mistake corrected less than ten minutes after reporting it! For some reason I haven't had any response to my submitted reports for the past month, and others have mentioned the same thing. I believe this is just a temporary break, though.
I received a congrats on my suggestion email just last week. So, they are still sending them ^_^
Yes, actually they're very good about correcting errors based on user input. I've seen many questions where the original answers were incorrect or incomplete, that have been improved just because many of us bumped up against these limits. :-)
You realize there are two mechanisms for feedback, right? The "Report a Problem" button after each question, and the "Support" tab that's always on the left of the window? You can use that one if a mistake you've caught doesn't seem to get corrected after some reasonable period of time.
Thanks to you all for your feedback. I didn't know about the "support" tab and thanks to Seth_H for directing me to all the info about the site. Most useful. I shall be back on Duolingo for more and more Portuguese!
