After five month the wrong translation is still there: Why is it: OR flies in the English sentence and: ÉS legyek in the Hungarian translation? Is it possible, that nobody is taking care anymore of this Beta version.

I agree that nobody has done anything at all for several months! I used to get messages all the time saying my suggestions had been accepted...but nothing for months. No point reporting anymore I'm afraid...

I find that some of my suggestions have been accepted as valid answers now, so I do believe that someone is paying attention to our suggestions And I believe that I discern some other corrections and refinements as well. I love the Magyar language and pray for Hungary

I think it is fine with OR. Three years ago the translation used "and", but then it was changed to or.

In logic, Not (A or B) = (Not A) and (Not B)

I can't speak for Hungarian, but you use "or" in a negative list and "and" in a positive list. But "and" should still be accepted as an alternative English translation.

Ebben az állatkertben nincsenek pillangók, méhek vagy legyek.

What's wrong with "vagy" legyek?

Bees "and" flies

VAGY legyek - because it is OR flies in the English sentence.

Is using "or" incorrect in the translation? I believe that "or" is acceptable as a matter of logic and elegance, at least in this enumerative context where things are being listed.

Is anybody taking care of this course in DUOLINGO.?
