Page lag = 1 min to remove a comment x 1 million comments (slight hyperbole)

Hello and thank you so much for taking a look at this!

I am using Windows7/Firefox

I am currently trying to clean clutter, profanity, spam, etc. out of the sentence discussion area here:

However, a copious amount of comments have already been mod cleared, but are still there in a way that lags hardcore for mods. I just timed it, and it takes me 1 minute per comment that I clear. (Process: I delete a comment (lag), I get auto returned higher up on the page (lag), I press the end key (lag), I press the page up button as many times as I need to get to where I left off (lag for each time I have to press the button).

Is there a more efficient strategy I can use for clearing the comments? If not, is it possible to have someone go in and perma delete the majority of those mod deleted comments so it doesn't cause such a harsh lag time?

Thank you so much! ^_^

I've noticed a bit of lag when there are tons of comments whether deleted or not, but only when initially loading the page. After that, all is well. Is this new to you, or has it always been like this?

FYI, I inquired about the kick back to the start:

I'm used to the initial lag that clears up after loading in comment-heavy discussions. In this case, however, I lagged for every individual interaction I had with it, whether trying to scroll, use up/down arrows, page up/down, deleting, etc.

PS I just went to your link. Thank you for posting that! (I'm going to borrow your [Mod Issue] subject starter in the future. :D) I'm glad Staff is going to fix it! ^_^
