Irish has its own unique challenges, but it gets easier with practice, just like any other language. Don't give up - it's a fascinating language to study (and speak) once you get your head around it.

Go really slow. It is hard. Don't worry about moving on too fast. Also consider Duolingo as your first year in a language. You aren't going to remember everything so don't try to. You need repetition, to be able to remember everything. So go through the tree as slow as you need to and then do it again and again.Get a notebook and write down the words and actually study them. It will make all the difference. Get other books as well. Irish children's books, Irish language books, Irish Grammar books and study those as well. Watch TG4 with the English subtitles on (so you don't get bored) eventually you will start hearing some of the words.

Because you are at the beginning and it's very different from English. Go slowly. Review often. Don't rush.

It's just different to the other western European languages like English and German. The sentence structure is different, it's Verb-Subject-Object unlike in German and English which are Subject-Verb-Object
