Scroll bar double clicking in Discussion
When I click in the blank space under the vertical scroll bar to make it jump down a page, instead of just 'paging down' once, it does it twice. Actually it pages down once, hangs for half a second, and pages down again. I am having this problem in both Firefox (27.0.1) and Chrome (32.0.1700.107 m) and I am using Windows 7 Starter. When I use the Pg Dn or Pg Up buttons on my laptop, I don't have an issue.
I don't have a problem 'paging down' using the scroll bar while on the home page or while reading topic on the discussion page, but only when I am reading individual discussion and comments. I haven't see this issue using other websites.
Hi wazzie! Have you tried pressing the arrows or scrolling with the mouse instead? Does it work? I'm not sure what the exact problem is, but try checking your controls (I think that's what the term for settings is on Windows?), and then press the mouse page to see if there's anything in there that helps. Also, is it possible that you hold your mouse too long? Do you have browser settings? Try looking in there for possible tabs that could help this problem. Sorry, I haven't used a Windows computer in a while, but I hope this helps! :)
The arrow keys work, but I prefer to scroll a page at a time. This only happens when viewing the discussions, and I've only had to happen (although this is my preferred scrolling method) on DL. It also happen every time I read discussion.
I appreciate your help, but the error does seem to be on the DL side of things.
Hi again! I know I can't do as much as DuoLingo's creators can, but I think it is possible that DuoLingo was made like this. When you scroll down a page, does it skip discussions, or make the page fit an entirely new list of discussions? :)
