The Esperanto course for English learners has reached 600K learners! Congratulations to the Esperanto team!
Good observation. How to get data to analyse progress/behaviour and #s by highest completed level?
It would make a huge difference if Esperanto was available from other languages.
Or maybe create Esperanto (visual+few languages comparison) to Esperanto as universal solution. This can also be done for Esperanto Advanced via Basic (native speaker approach).
I agree with DanD8, 25th level is waaaayyyyyy too long, for a start we don't have immersion and the levels are organised so the number of xps required is a jump each time, i don't plan on ever getting to level 25 since simply getting to level 20 means going through the entire tree goodness knows how many times( 10? 20? 30? i'm not sure) . Just go through the tree once then definitely branch out (pardon the pun) onto other courses, books, videos, music, poscasts etc while keeping the tree 100% golden and you will do very well.
You'll do yourself a disservice if you wait that long. By the time you get 3/4 through the tree you'll be able to read fairly well. You also need to hear the language more than Duo can provide.
When I started studying Esperanto I thought it was silly since it looked so clunky with all the final J's. Then I heard the audio and something clicked. When spoken it becomes obvious that it's a living, breathing language capable of expressing the whole range of human emotions. You can't appreciate that fully until you hear an Esperanto conversation.
