German bands to listen to

I would like to listen to German music as part of immersing myself in learning the language. Can anyone make a recommendation on artists I could listen to that sing in German?

I'm partial to Classic rock, but am open to listen to just about anything.

Thanks in advance!

Element of Crime - quite easy to understand the lyrics (not much of a dialect)

This is not classic rock but I think it is nice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j09hpp3AxIE

I also like Udo Lindenberg, he is probably Germany's biggest rocker.

Cro ist für einen Anfänger gut zu horen. Klar Stimme und guten Klang.

MTV Bye Bye ist hier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huBNgxolXFo

Aber, es kommt auf Ihren Geschmack an, denke ich.

I like Sportfreunde Stiller - songs like Ein Kompliment are relatively easy to follow. They have a great Live in New York set which is even easier to follow the meaning of the songs.

Not classic rock (which I also happen to like - how come the Scorpions largely sing in English? Oh yes - market size ...) - but I do listen to Schlager music.

Understand - Schlager is emphatically not cool.

but - it follows classic themes, is generally not too complex, tends to be sung clearly, and repeats itself a LOT. Which makes it useful for learning (and some of the songs get quite catchy after a while.)

I listen to Beatrice Egli, Gina, Anni Perka, Linda Fah, mainly.

I also listen to Adel Tawil (very clear voice), Revolverheld, Glasperlenspiel, Joris, and a few others.

You might find Revolverheld close to what you like, in rock terms. All of these are available on YouTube, so you can check them and see what you like. (I did - and have since bought a number of albums.)
