  5. "Η επόμενη επιλογή."

"Η επόμενη επιλογή."

Translation:The next choice.

I wonder how would this word eventually give rise to what we now call 'epilogue' of a story.

Any hint?

Here's what I found on the trusty site :D Dictionary.comhttp://www.etymonline.com/index.php

"epilogue (n.) early 15c., from Middle French epilogue (13c.), from Latin epilogus, from Greek epilogos "a conclusion, conclusion of a speech, inference," from epi "upon, in addition" (see epi-) + logos "a speaking" (see lecture (n.)). Earliest English sense was theatrical."

So it was from 'choice' to 'conclusion'. Good to know. Thanks for your search!

Actually these are two different words. Επίλογος exists since ancient times and means epilogue up to this day.
