Yes, that is the wrong word order for an indirect question in English.

Direct question: What have I done? Whom have you met? Where have you lived?

Indirect question: I do not know what I have done / whom you have met / where you have lived.

Also, indirect questions do not use do:

Direct: Whom did you meet? Where did you live?

Indirect: I do not know whom you met / where you lived.

´I do not recall what I have done´ is also correct, not wrong as stated.

"I cannot (can't) - I can't remember." and "I do not (don't) - I don't remember." have simillar meanings.

"Can't remember" could imply that one is actually putting some effort into recalling something, where "don't remember" does not necessarily imply that. In all cases, we usually try not to mix up translations whenever we can match the words between the two languages.
