I think "La buanderie est propre" should be accepted, but it isn't. Reported.

"La buanderie" is the laundry room.

You could however say "la lessive est propre". "Lessive" designates the cleaning agent as well as the laundry itself.

I know, but in English, "the laundry room" is simply called "the laundry". (And I have just been sweeping up cat food in my laundry which is the reason that I interpreted it that way instead of dirty clothes.)
